Books and Broadsides Available at Riffe Gallery Poetry Reading!

Books and broadsides will be available at the Poetry Reading and Open Mic at Ohio Art Council’s Riffe Gallery this Thursday evening, June 5th, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. With each new gallery exhibition, Riffe brings in a new featured poet to read. The venue is lovely, and we just love the present show, “Impressive Impressions: Selections from Ohio University’s Kennedy Museum of Art Print Collection.”  Paula J. Lambert is being introduced as a Residency Artist for the OAC’s Arts Learning Program, and she’s written some new ekphrastic poems specifically for this featured reading. We’ll have copies of The Sudden Seduction of Gravity available, as well as the new “Furcula Project” broadside (which features Paula’s poem “Anatomy of Birds, Part 1: Furcula”).

Join us, won’t you?

Thank You…

…to all who joined us for our first Community Reading, “Poetry at Perkins: In Celebration of the Night Sky!” It was such a lovely evening, and, together, we raised $800 for continued good works at Perkins Observatory! We could not have done it without the participating poets who volunteered their time and talents (pics available on our Facebook page here!) and without those who purchased tickets and joined us in Delaware for a true celebration of cosmos. The weather was perfect, and volunteers from the Columbus Astronomical Society set up four telescopes on the front lawn AND they opened the dome for us all to view the rings of Saturn! It could not possibly have gone better, and we’re supremely grateful to everyone who made it possible.
