The Poets at Perkins Observatory: Beverly Wilkinson!

Beverly Wilkinson is originally from Newark, Delaware. She was the first ever SlamMaster for a Poetry Slam, Inc., certified venue in the state of Delaware and the first to coach a team from Delaware to national competition. She sat on the board for the Delaware Literary Connection and on the advisory board for the Newark Arts Alliance. Beverly also coordinated volunteer contributions in the art of poetry each year with Camp Imagine, a summer arts program for children. She has led workshops and taught writing classes at both the DLC and the NAA. Beverly has authored three chapbooks of poetry as well as having her work appear in anthologies, local magazines and online journals. Now living in Columbus, Ohio, she is a devout weekly attendee to the house of Writers’ Block held at Kafe Kerouac on North High Street.
